Join us in West Perth as we transform our workshop space into a cosy sewing room for this beginner-friendly Reversible Tote Bag Sewing Workshop.
In this hands-on session, our hobby expert will guide you through the basics of sewing while showing you how to create your own reversible tote bag from scratch. You’ll learn practical sewing skills while crafting a beautiful, functional bag you can use every day.
During the workshop, you’ll be guided step-by-step through measuring, cutting, pinning, and sewing your tote bag. With two fabrics, your bag will be fully reversible, giving you two different looks in one practical design.
Along the way, our host will share some of their favourite tips and tricks to help build your confidence on the sewing machine.
This workshop is perfect for complete beginners or anyone curious about sewing. The skills you learn can easily be applied to future sewing projects at home.
What this workshop includes:
• An introduction to sewing basics
• Step-by-step guidance on cutting and assembling your tote bag, with a take home pattern to practise
• Sewing machine use during the workshop
• Expert instruction from our hobby expert
• Free-flowing tea and coffee
• Afternoon tea to enjoy during the session
What you need to bring:
BYO fabric! Please bring two coordinating fabrics to make your reversible tote bag. We recommend a mid-weight cotton, linen or upcycled fabric for this project. Please nothing stretchy.
You will need approximately 1 metre of each fabric, plus matching thread.
