Learn to Knit: A cosy creative morning with Em
Join us in the studio for a wholesome, hands-on morning where you’ll learn how to knit with confidence! Whether you’ve never picked up a pair of needles or just want to brush up on the basics, this beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect place to start.
Led by our resident knitting enthusiast Em, you’ll be guided through a range of essential techniques that form the foundation for all kinds of projects—think scarves, beanies, blankets, and even jumpers. You’ll also pick up plenty of pro tips and tricks to help you knit with ease and joy.
Knitting is not only incredibly versatile—it’s also calming, creative, and so on-trend right now.
In this workshop, you’ll learn:
Casting on
Knit stitch
Purl stitch
Stockinette stitch
Rib stitch
Changing colours
Casting off

What to bring:
This is a BYO session—please bring your own knitting needles and yarn. We recommend wooden needles and chunky yarn for beginners. Don’t worry if you forget—we’ll have extras to borrow during the session and supplies available to purchase in our little hobby shop.
This workshop is open to attendees aged 16 and over.
