Join us at Leedy Art Fest for one of our popular Clay & Cocktails sessions. A relaxed and creative workshop, including clay, cocktails and good vibes on the rooftop overlooking Electric Lane.

Your experience begins with a Spritz from Servo, before our House of Hobby creative guide takes you through some beginner-friendly clay techniques. You’ll have the freedom to experiment, get your hands dirty and create your very own ceramic piece while soaking up the atmosphere of the festival.

Whether you’re looking for a creative experience to share with friends, a little time for yourself, or simply want to try something completely new, no previous experience is needed and all skill levels are welcome.

Clay is wonderfully tactile, surprisingly relaxing and a whole lot of fun. Come curious, grab a cocktail and see what you can make.

What to bring

Clay can be messy , which is part of the fun! While it washes out of clothing, we recommend wearing something you don’t mind getting a little creative in. Aprons are also available at the venue if you need one.

A little more about your pottery

After the workshop, your piece will be bisque fired, clear glazed and glaze fired at our West Perth studio before being ready for collection.

Please allow 6–8 weeks for your finished piece to be ready for collection from House of Hobby in West Perth.

A little heads-up: ceramics can be wonderfully unpredictable. Your first piece might not turn out exactly as you imagined, and occasionally pieces can crack or break during the firing process. We’ll guide you through the process and help you create something you’ll be proud of, while keeping you informed about the practical limitations around size and design.

Our expert will cover everything you need to know at the beginning of the workshop — so all you need to bring is your curiosity!
